“Love Where You Live” is Julie’s Durkee’s motto, and she certainly does. The East Bay is home to this fifth-generation Bay Area resident and realtor. A natural connector with exceptional attention to detail, Julie has a genuine warmth that shines through in all that she does. As a successful businesswoman, professional baker and loving mom, she understands that residential real estate isn’t simply about four walls and a roof… it’s about envisioning how your life will unfold in that home to open exciting new chapters.
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco, Julie has a strong work ethic that stems from her experience as an acclaimed pastry chef in top-rated Bay Area restaurants, as well as entrepreneurial grit gained from running her own award-winning business, Torino Baking.
Julie’s approach to real estate combines her creativity, market knowledge, integrity and stellar negotiation skills, all powerful assets that deliver results for buyers and sellers. From the initial client consultation to far beyond the closing table, Julie listens to thoroughly understand her clients’ visions and goals. With multi-generational experience throughout the greater East Bay area, Julie has amassed a deep knowledge of Berkeley, Albany, Kensington, El Cerrito, Oakland, Richmond, Emeryville, and Piedmont, as well as points farther north and east. Her on-the-ground expertise provides a distinct advantage to clients, both in historical perspective and neighborhood know-how.
Julie lives in Albany with her husband, a pediatric nurse, and their two college-aged children. In addition to her experience as a chef, she has lived in Italy, taught cooking at Sur La Table, and won two Food Network competitions.
